Langkawi!!

Finally I have some spare time to update my Langkawi trip. The word Langkawi can be divided into 2 words- Lang and Kawi.. Lang means the eagle, and kawi means the land or the island. In whole it is the island of eagle!! Cool huh, we can really see some eagle there!! This is actually my first field trip and it is so fun!! The whole Langkawi is given the name Geopark. It means that the island's rock formation is various and it is believed that the islands contains of the whole Malaysia's rock type and formation!
With the Mahsuri's legend, ex Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir developed the island after the seventh generation of Mahsuri as what she had cursed before.. Its cool though, and the island really have lotsa legends and tales.!! Cool and mysterious place.

This is the first place we went to after we reach Langkawi, even before we check-in. We went to this slope and start to do our field work, the view was great but the place in terribly HOT!!!

After that, we went for the cable car!! Langkawi's cable car has the biggest slope in South East Asia!!

After the cable car, we went for island hooping the next morning!! We are lucky to have a cool boat driver, because he speeds and drift at the sea!! lol..

The isle of Pregnant Maiden. Can you see it??

This is the lake at The Isle of Pregnant Maiden. The water there is 14m deep and it is pure water, it did not mixed with sea water around the isle.. That was Fei Jhue beside me, she is my coursemate and a langkawi resident o..

Because we had so much fun in the lake, we did not have enough time for the other islands.. and lost the chance to feed the eagle.. -_-"'..

Other than these, we spend 2 night drinking some alcoholic drink at the beach, since it was so cheap. The people there drinks beer at the price of cola.. RM 1.80 for a tin of Carlsberg.. I do not like beers, so I bought Kampai instead, blackcurrant flavoured. I bought many Nougats and a bottle of desert wine-Port for me to bring back to Kuching..
